ABOUT SOUTHWEST BROOKSWOOD

Southwest Brookswood is that region of the Township of Langley west of 200th Street and South of Anderson creek.

The area was built at different times. Most of the area north of 36th was built in the early 1970's. The 'Sunset' development south of 36th and west of 198th was built around 1980 and the newest area, just south of 'Sunset' is called 'Meadowbrook' where homes were built in 1989 to 1991.

All of these homes are on 1/4 acre density lots to support septic fields as there is not sanitary sewer syestem in the area at this time. In the older part mature fir and cedar trees are commonplace.

The area is a great place for commuters to Richmond and South Vancouver. The route west along 32nd Avenue to the interchange at highway #99 can mean just 40 minutes to South Vancouver in regular traffic.

Shopping is local at 40th and 200th with G&H Grocery, shoppers drugs, video, credit union, bank, McDonalds, gas station, coffee shop and 7-11 as well as many other professional and service businesses. Major shopping is available 10 minutes away in Willowbrook, a popular, new regional shopping centre.

Brookswood Park has a play ground and spray park.
